The ‘darkness’ nicknamed Covid 19, started in late December 2019, at Huaman Seafood market in Wuhan.

The world was taken aback by its ability and capacity to spread fast. It has killed over 211,000 people.

When yet undefined, in late December 31st 2019, W.H.O noted that there was a mysterious pneumonia sickening dozens in china.

The virus eliminated the life of it first victim on January 11, 2020, and this was a 61 year old man who had visited the live animal market in Wuhan.

The first confirmed case in the United State was reported on the 21st January, 2020. This was a man in his 30s from Washington State who traveled to Wuhan. It was also reported in Japan, South Korea and Thailand on the same day, 22nd January, 2020.

Covid 19 was given a global picture when W.H.O on the 30th January, 2020 declared a global health emergency for the 6th time in history of the world. Covid 19 was originally ‘so named’ on February 11, 2020: “Co” stands for Corona, “Vi” is for virus and “D” is for disease.

And now “NIGERIA,”

27th February 2020 marked the first case of Covid 19 in Nigeria, when an Italian Citizen in Lagos tested positive for the virus.

Finally the big game started on March, 29th 2020, as President Buhari announced a cessation of movement in the Federal Capital Territory, in Lagos and Ogun states to reduce it spread, some other state governors followed suit. And this was the Genesis of Covid 19 political game in Nigeria.
