PRESIDENT BOLA TINUBU VISITED ENUGU STATE TO COMMISSION SEVERAL PROJECTS, INCLUDING THE ENUGU INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE CENTRE



This visit marked his first official trip of 2025. Upon arrival at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, President Tinubu was received by Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah, as well as other dignitaries, including the governors of Imo and Abia states.

 During his visit, President Tinubu commissioned various projects, including:

 - Enugu International Conference Centre: a multi-auditorium and multi-functional facility

- GTC Smart Green School: one of the 260 modern schools introduced by Governor Mbah's administration

- Command-and-Control Centre: a state-of-the-art facility for enhanced security

- 150 patrol vehicles: equipped with AI-embedded surveillance cameras

- 30 completed and equipped Enugu Smart Green Schools: part of the 260 schools under construction across the state

- 60 completed and equipped Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres: part of the 260 centres under construction across the state

 President Tinubu praised Governor Mbah's development model and philosophy, acknowledging the governor's efforts to position Enugu State among Nigeria's top three states in terms of GDP. The President also commended the governor's focus on security, education, and healthcare.

 In his address, President Tinubu emphasized the importance of investment in security, stating that it will bring rapid development. He also reiterated his administration's commitment to supporting Enugu State and other states in their development efforts.

The visit showcased the collaborative efforts between the federal government and Enugu State to drive development and growth in the region.
