MAGIC MIRROR… Unedited (STORY 2) Continuation….

“You have stayed longer, we have to let you go know but we have an assignment and a gift for you,” the leader said and pointed the staff she had on her left arm close to where Abigail sat and at once a golden mirror appeared. She laughed loudly and continued, “my daughter pick up that mirror in it is contained all the power you need to do whatever you want. Use the power to accomplish all that you desire but we have an assignment for you, there is a particular student in your school who is obstructing our mission in the street where he is living by his powerful prayers. We want you to eliminate him or put him in a condition that he can no longer be able to pray. If you succeed in this assignment, we shall definitely promote you and give you more power and beauty. Abigail you may now go back home but listen you have become a member of this kingdom, so you are expected to report here every night. The school have dismissed, the management and your parents are looking for you. To avoid being punished by them, you have to make use of your power. Now look into the mirror and touch the centre of the mirror,” she instructed.
Abigail did as she said and vanished, she reappeared in her room. She quickly hid the magic mirror and went into the sitting room and beheld her parents and the school management.
“Where are you coming from?” shouted the principal.
“Are you deaf, answer him,” added her angry father, who had started advancing towards her. Abigail recalled what the leader of the daughters of the magic mirror told her and made a swift movement backward and casted a spell on them and they forgot everything patterning to her sudden disappearance and reappearance and treated her well and called her pet names.
Three days after……
It was a wet Sunday morning, Abigail younger ones and her parents were seriously preparing for Sunday mass while she lay reluctantly on the bed pretending to be sick.
Abigail what is wrong with you, aren’t you going to mass today,” asked her father, marveled at her strange behavior.
“Daddy, you know I love to attend church activities, but this morning, I am not feeling fine, I think I am having malaria and because of this I am not going to attend mass today,” she lied, moving her body and breathing in such a way to convince her father.
“That is okay, hold done let me get you some drug. Your body needs that and afterwards if it continues then we shall consult doctor Chike,” he said and reached out and brought the drugs for Abigail.
“Here are the drugs,” he presented it to her.
“Thanks daddy,” she said and got hold of a shimmering grass tumbler and positioned it rightly and turn-on the tape of the water dispenser in her room and clean warm water poured into it. She took the drug and flushed it down with the glass of water.
When her parents and her younger ones drove out of the compound, she sprang up from where she had been, she immediately went into the sitting room and turn on the DVD set, Davido famous track started playing on the background and she began to dance waywardly. She refused to attend mass, because she was afraid of the fire she saw burning inside the church when she visited the church before weekend for their usual ‘choir practice.’ It was the fire of the Holy Ghost; she knew the fire would terribly torment her, if she ventures into the church that was why she quickly adopted the plane B that worked for her.
As she was dancing, she used her power and manipulated some furniture’s, and they began dancing with her. The furniture’s made noise as it moves up and down forcing Kunle the gate man to abandon his post and headed towards the main building; the noise was becoming louder and louder as he drew nearer and nearer, he wondered what could be the reason behind the noise. Having gotten to the entrance, he tip toed and calmly looked through a visible hole on the window and saw what he couldn’t believe, in deep fear he screamed loudly and Abigail was distracted. She at once vanished and reappeared where Kunle was. This incidence made Kunle frighten was like a log of wood, he stood still mopping at the damsel exhibiting extraordinary powers. His mouth was wide open; one can only identify him as living by his moving eyes. Abigail stone heartedly stroke the Housa man deaf and dump, she lifted him six feet above the floor level using her magical powers and allowed him fall on the tiled floor. Kunle fainted while Abigail went back to her room leaving the sitting room disorganized.
When her parents were back from the church, they drove in and headed towards the car park. The car engine was turn off and the doors were open and they all alighted from the car.
Getting to the entrance, they saw Kunle who had fainted following what had happened to him. They became agitated and troubled; they started reviving him and poured cooled water on him. Finally he was revived and woke up, he stood still trembling and could not explain what had happened to his Oga, and he was only making signs and pointing his finger towards the direction of the sitting room. Oga Owa, also discovered that Kunle had lost his sight and could not speak, this made him highly distressed and worried.
When they advanced further into the sitting room to their greatest surprise, they saw that the sitting room had turn upside down. Quickly he beckoned on Abigail and she ran to meet them, on her arrival she greeted her parents robbing her eyes as though she had been sleeping.

“Abigail, what happened here,” he asked,
“I don’t know, I had been sleeping,” she replied.
“The gate man was attacked, he had lost his sight and couldn’t speak,” he said terrified.
“Daddy may be some criminals had attacked him while I was sleeping, the criminals may have disorganized the sitting withal,” she added in pretence.
“This is unexplainable and unusual. I must inform the police,” he concluded and went into his room still murmuring.
“Thank God, nothing happened to my daughter,” said Abigail mother waving her two hands on the air.
In his room, Mr. Owa dialed the DPO’s office number: “is that the DPO on the line?” he asked, adjusting the phone on his ears.
“Yes, you are speaking with the DPO,” he replied.
“Alright, I am chief Owa of Igbo Etiti, I want to make an official report about what happened in my residence,” he began.
“Okay, go on, I am listening,” affirmed the DPO.
“Just this morning, as I and my family left the house for Sunday mass, some unidentified criminal broke into my compound and turn my house upside down leaving my gate man in a very disheartening condition. Please I want those involved to be identified and arrested,” he stated warmly though with a melancholic voice.
“Copied sir and we shall take necessary actions to ensure that they are arrested,” the DPO assured.
“O! That is nice of you, my regards to your family.”
“Thanks chief,” he replied and chief Owa hang up.
Abigail mother had being in the kitchen all these while getting lunch ready. When it was ready, she served her husband and her children as they assembled on the dinning.
