Magic Mirror

Valentine the cleaver student who had the best result in the school was a strong member of young Catholic Students (YCS). He was well behaved and prayerful. His father was a retired soldier and his mother a nurse. Valentine was their third son and was highly regarded among his age-mat because he had the fear of God in him.

His school hold’s very good impression of him, he had represented the school in most of her external competitions.

The principal Mr. Nwokaocha once said that Valentine had remained the best student from the inception of the school. He often admonishes other students to mimic and follow his foot step.

It was indeed this very brilliant young boy that Abigail had been assigned to eliminate so that she can be giving more power.

Meanwhile Abigail had improved academically with her magical power. She came second in class after valentine. Her desire of becoming the best student in the class failed because her magical power couldn’t overpower valentine.

Valentine had his own good power as a child of God. Abigail was very annoyed when she realized that her plan had failed.

The young girl made series of plans to weaken the spiritual life of Valentine and eliminate him. She had not being in good terms with valentine but now because of her bad plans she decided to befriend him.

It was Monday and the third week after resumption, during break period, Valentine was sitting on his desk happily as he flips between pages of his essential biology, with his eyes moving up and down the lines of the pages, which clearly implied that he was searching for a particular information.

“Good day Val,” greeted Abigail.

“Good day, Abigail,” he replied.

“What are you doing?” she asked, as she stood before him.

“I am searching for an information,” he stated, busy flipping the pages of the text book.

“Information on what?”

“Osmosis and Diffusion,”

“O! That! Wait let me help you,” she said and grab the text book and with her magical powers she at ones discovered where the information was in the text book.

“Look here is the information, you are looking for,” she said handing over the text book.

“Thanks,” he appreciated and continued, “Abigail honestly I have to say this: your performance in our last examination was a miracle. I am happy that you have improved this much, please keep the fire burning, okay,” he advised.

“I admit you advice, thanks. But something tells me you hate me,” she said.

“Me!” shouted Valentine, “For what na! Why should I hate a person created by God. Please I don’t hate you, most especially now that you have started doing well academically,” she retorted in self defense.

“No problem if you say so. Because I know you as a child of God and I also know that the bible says love your neighbor as yourself,” she added.

“Very sure, the bible said that and that is the more reason why I am not supposed to hate anybody, not even you,” Valentine explained.

“This implies that whenever you buy something during break time, you can always give to me,” she said smiling.

“Once you ask for it, I will,” he replied.

“What if I buy something and give to you will you accept it?” she asked still smiling.

“Look Abigail, it is strongly against my principle as a person, but to prove to you that I don’t hate you, I will,” he replied.

“Promised,”

“Yes Promised.”

As they were still discussing, the regulator rang the bell and Uncle Titus their Biology teacher came in.

“Compliment class,” shouted one of the students and the whole student in the class stood up and echoed a greeting.

“Good day sir and May God bless you,” they greeted.

“Good day, my great students, how are you today,”

“We are fine, thank you sir,” they replied. The lesson began; he thought them the importance of good nutrition.

……..FOUR DAYS LATER

At night Abigail went to meeting as usual and the daughters of the magic mirror hailed her for what she did to uncle math’s and also instructed her to cast the spell of blindness on Uncle Titus the biology teacher. They hated him because his prayer during assembly was powerful and affects Abigail often. Whenever he was to conduct Assembly, Abigail comes to school after the assembly. He also obstructs most of Abigail wicked acts by his powerful prayers. Those she had made to be sick when he prays, they got healed, and as such they want him dead, if possible.

Abigail agreed to the instruction giving to her and also narrated to the daughters of the magic mirror how far she had gone in the quest of eliminating valentine who they complained was tormenting and obstructing their plans in the street where he lived.

In view of this, they gave her four fried “Akara,” known as beans cake and told her to give two to Valentine and eat two. She was informed that once he eats the Akara he will become spiritually weakened and that he will not be able to think of praying again, how much more to go to church and that the spirit of immorality will possess him as well. And when this happens, she may decide what to do with him.

When she was about to leave, they reminded her to use her magical power to keep the Akara hot.
