“ABACHA,” A DELICACY THAT RAISES DUST IN IGBOLAND
Abacha as it is popularly
called had become a delicacy cherished and enjoyed by the igbo’s. This delicacy
had indeed given the igbo people an identity. Following this truthful fact;
whenever an igbo man summons a party, hardly will the party hold without this
delicacy prepared.
It is valued more than rice
because in most cases, it is been prepared for special guests, those who are on
the high table.
The cost of preparing a high
class Abacha is far higher than what it takes to prepare a high class rice of
any kind.
