HEAVY RAINFALL HAS CAUSED DEVASTATING FLOODS IN KADUNA, DISPLACING 545 HOUSEHOLDS AND DAMAGING 171 HOUSES ACROSS COMMUNITIES IN KADUNA NORTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA.
The worst-hit
area is Kigo Road Community, where 69 buildings and 276 households were flooded,
including a private nursery and primary school.
The National
Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Kaduna State Emergency Management
Agency (KADSEMA) have responded to the disaster, conducting a joint assessment
of the affected areas to determine the scale of destruction and coordinate
emergency response.
