MINING AND QUARRYING COMPANIES LICENSED BY THE NIGERIAN MINING CADASTRAL OFFICE LAST YEAR ARE EXPECTED TO CONCLUDE THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENTS, CDAS WITH HOST COMMUNITIES ON OR BEFORE DECEMBER 31, THIS YEAR OR THEIR LICENSES WILL BE REVOKED.

Minerals Development, Dele Alake, issued the deadline following the review of
the performance of companies on the Community Development Agreements in the
first six months.
The Federal Government of Nigeria has issued a deadline of December 31 for mining and quarrying companies to conclude Community Development Agreements (CDAs) with host communities. Companies licensed by the Nigerian Mining Cadastral Office last year are required to finalize these agreements to maintain their licenses; otherwise, they risk revocation .
