THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY MANAGEMENT HAS UPHELD THE SIX-MONTH SUSPENSION OF SENATOR NATASHA AKPOTI-UDUAGHAN, REPRESENTING KOGI CENTRAL, PENDING THE OUTCOME OF HER CASE BEFORE THE COURT OF APPEAL.
In a letter signed by Acting Clerk Dr. Yahaya Danzaria, the management acknowledged Akpoti-Uduaghan's intention to resume Senate duties on September 4, but clarified that her suspension, which began on March 6, 2025, remains in force due to the ongoing court case.
The National Assembly emphasized that the matter is subjudice, meaning no administrative action can be taken until the Court of Appeal delivers its verdict. Only then will the Senate review her suspension and notify her of their decision
