COVID-19 STRIKES AGAIN: PRESIDENT BIDEN TESTS POSITIVE, CANCELS LAS VEGAS ENGAGEMENT

US President Joe Biden has tested positive for COVID-19 for the third time, causing a scheduling conflict with a key campaign event aimed at garnering support from Latino voters. This development comes at a critical point in the 2024 US election campaign. According to his doctor, President Biden is experiencing mild symptoms and has received his first dose of antiviral medication. This marks the third time the 81-year-old President has contracted COVID-19, with previous instances occurring in July 2022 and 2023. The Las Vegas event where he was scheduled to speak at the UnidosUS annual conference has been postponed. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre announced the President's COVID-19 diagnosis on Wednesday night, stating that he is experiencing mild symptoms. Jean-Pierre added that President Biden plans to isolate at his Delaware home while continuing to carry out his duties fully.
