Turkey rejects NATO-Israel Cooperation Attempts

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey announced on Friday that his country will not support NATO's cooperation with Israel until a lasting peace is achieved in Palestine. Speaking at the NATO summit, Erdogan emphasized that Turkey will withhold approval until a comprehensive peace is established. Additionally, he revealed that Turkey is persisting in its diplomatic efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine conflict and is seeking to restore relations with Syria by having its foreign minister meet with President Bashar al-Assad. Erdogan also stressed Turkey's expectation of solidarity from NATO allies in its fight against terrorism and expressed his country's aspiration to become a full member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), a security and economic bloc led by Russia and China.
